"Man dead after Cottesloe pub plunge"
Igår var jag på plats när det hände en fruktansvärd olycka, och jag önskar verkligen att jag hade sluppit se det.
"An Aubin Grove man has died after being pushed from the second storey of a beachfront hotel at Cottesloe last night. The 29-year-old man plunged about eight metres after smashed through a glass window pane at the Ocean Beach Hotel about 8.45pm. He was taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital with critical head and spinal injuries but died this morning. Police are investigating. It is understood they have identified a suspect after viewing CCTV footage of the incident. Witnesses said two nurses who had been inside the hotel at the time performed CPR on the man as he lay in a pool of blood and smashed glass on the footpath.For more than an hour last night, the scene outside the OBH was chaotic. Pubgoers who had parked vehicles close to the hotel were unable to leave from within police crime scene tape and witnesses gave accounts to police. Shattered glass, a thong and a black cap surrounded a pool of blood on the footpath. One woman, who did not want her name published, said it sounded like somebody “had dropped a tray of glasses” when the man went through the window.
“The music was really loud. Then there was some nurses who ran to do first aid and then a guy took over,” the woman said. “I didn’t see his friends around or anything. Just a lot of blood.”
Här är en bild efter händelsen. Han föll alltså från andra våningen. Jag var där när mannen låg helt blodig och livlös och de försökte gör hjärt- och lungräddning. De är så sjukt, man tror verkligen inte att man aldrig kommer vara med om saker som detta och så händer det.
